A registration form must be completed if you are interested in registering your child at The Children’s Ark either for an immediate opening, to be placed on the waiting list because The Children’s Ark is at capacity or if you are not ready to have your child begin. The form is to be accompanied by a $40.00 NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee.
Annually the classes change in September in conjunction with public and private school calendars. Yearly moves allow each age group to remain together and make a smoother transition from infancy through Pre-K and right into their designated Kindergarten class upon graduation.
The registrations are filed by date of receipt. Families who desire full time (5-day child care) take priority over families requiring part time (3-day and 2-day child care programs). Families with a child or children enrolled at The Children’s Ark will receive priority on the waiting list by automatically being placed at the front of the list. If there are two or more Ark families looking for availability in the same age group they would still be filed in front according to registration date and payment of non-refundable registration fee, the most recent registration following the first Ark family registered.
As soon as the director/and or administrator know a space will become available, they will begin with the first families registered in that particular age group. Even if it is a three day position that is available, the first 5 day family will have the opportunity to pick up the three available days. The director/and or administrator will continue this process of going through the 5-day families and then proceed to those families wanting part time care until the vacancy is filled.
BECAUSE YOU HAVE YOUR NAME ON THE WAITING LIST, IS NOT AN AUTOMATIC GUARANTEE THAT YOUR CHILD IS ENROLLED. WE DO NOT HOLD SPACES.
If a space becomes available, and it is earlier than the time that you want to start your child at The Children's Ark, you have the option of paying for that available space, (i.e. paying the monthly or semi-monthly fees as listed on the previous page in order to “hold it” until you are ready to start.
The Children's Ark CANNOT afford to maintain staff ratios or provide the quality of care that we are known for if the spaces remain unoccupied.
